Good News Clubs

Good News Clubs

Good News Clubs are weekly, hour-long programs that run throughout the school year for children ages 5 through 12. The Good News Club programs take place in neighborhood settings such as homes, schools, community centers, and Bible churches. Some counties even have Good News Clubs after school right on the school property, called After-School / In-School Good News Clubs.

The purpose of a Good News Club is to build Gospel relationships with children.

The hour of club includes:

  • Fun, Biblical songs
  • Engaging memory verse learning games
  • Missionary stories
  • Visualized Bible lessons with real-life applications
  • Review games
  • A clear opportunity to receive Jesus Christ as Saviour/be counseled by a trained Good News Club teacher

Contact your local director to find a Good News Club near you!

5-Day Clubs

5-Day Clubs

5-Day Clubs are free, hour-long programs held for five consecutive days during the summer months in parks, on porches and front steps, in yards, or inside homes.

The 5-Day Club environment not only allows a unsaved child to hear the Gospel, but it also challenges the saved child to grow in their walk with the Lord. The children are challenged to see the mission field that is all around them, both locally and all around the world. They are encouraged to share their faith and invite friends to join them in club.

The purpose of a 5-Day club is to teach the Bible to children.

The hour of club includes:

  • Meaningful songs
  • Bible lessons
  • Life-changing Bible memory verses
  • Exciting missionary stories
  • Puppet shows and special correspondence course
  • Friends and community

Contact your local county chapter for information on how to host or attend a summer 5-Day Club.

Released Time Classes

Released Time Classes

Pennsylvania law allows for public school students to be released from class for religious instruction. What an amazing opportunity to reach otherwise unchurched children with the Gospel, and to encourage and disciple children who have already trusted Christ as Saviour!

Each week during the school year, trained teachers and workers at Released Time Classes present Bible lessons, memory verses, Bible songs, and a missionary story, much like at a Good News Club.

The purpose of a Released Time Class is to take the opportunity to train children in the Bible and build lasting Gospel relationships.

The students are transported from public schools to a nearby church or designated location. Students must have written parental permission to attend. This is NOT sponsored by the school district or Department of Education but by CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP OF EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA, INC. Learn more about Released Time Classes by contacting your local director.
